Cara Pollard

Without reservation, I wholeheartedly endorse Cara as an exceptional coach whose influence has been profoundly transformative for my family. Following the arrival of our newest family member, my employer extended the incredible benefit of a family coach. Initially skeptical about the potential value of such a service, my wife and I were quickly astounded by Cara’s unparalleled commitment and expertise.

From our very first session, Cara distinguished herself with an extraordinary ability to listen deeply and remember every detail—names, events, emotions—treating them with as much care as if they were her own. This remarkable attention not only made us comfortable sharing more but also demonstrated her deep understanding and empathy for our family’s dynamics.

Cara’s approach is a perfect blend of sensitivity and strength, knowing precisely when to offer support and when to challenge us to grow. Her guidance was always empowering, aiming not just to address immediate concerns but to foster stronger relationships and a deeper sense of identity within our family.

What truly sets Cara apart is her selflessness. Despite any personal challenges, she consistently prioritized our sessions, ensuring that we felt heard and valued. Her resilience, profound knowledge, sweetness, and compassion are beyond compare.

Cara is not just a coach; she is a remarkable force for positive change. Trusting her with your coaching needs is not just an investment; it’s a step toward meaningful, lasting transformation in your life. Cara is, unequivocally, a once-in-a-lifetime coach whose impact is immeasurable. I recommend her with the highest level of enthusiasm and without a single reservation. She will undoubtedly enrich your life as she has ours.”

Having Cara before, during, and after leave has been phenomenal and has really helped me and my family. I really wish I had coaching in my first pregnancy and will push it on my friends. I just felt heard especially with things I couldn’t talk about with my friends or family.

There’s a big lack of diversity, especially of women, in technology. I really believe in work-life
balance as one of the only ways you can get women to stay [in STEM]. A big part of why I joined the company was because they offered this.

But it’s one thing to offer [paid leave] but, then to offer parenting coaching to understand the mental strain for a mother that’s different for others at work – I think that’s huge. It feels nice to be heard and walk- through things with someone who understands. I feel understood. To talk to somebody and walk through those fears was so nice.

After talking with Cara, I was able to have less-emotionally driven conversations with my
managers to set realistic expectations. I think it should be a must for any company that says they want mothers, working parents. It all comes back to diversity in a company and pushing the ratio of women up.

I’ve really benefited from it. I feel calmer and less stressed and really look forward to my
meetings with [my coach].

This is a great tool for any company that wants women to stay in tech.”

Coaching helped us better understand each other’s needs, how we might go about meeting those needs, and how we can work together to do so. It also gave us the words to express things that we didn’t know how to before. Being able to discuss concepts like minimum standard of care is huge for us in getting to where we want to be as a parenting team. Coaching helped us with re-framing negative thoughts and celebrating wins of all different sizes. We remind ourselves of the values we discussed guiding our family dynamic all of the time.”

Cara asked amazing questions. Without really ever telling me to think a certain way by asking targeted and thoughtful questions, I was able to uncover so much about myself and my actions.”

Cara was so excellent at seeing each of our perspectives/points of view, taking what she was hearing from us, and getting to the heart of any issue or discussion right off the bat. She’s an incredibly talented professional with amazing interpersonal skills. She found ways for both of us to feel heard, even when we were on different sides of the fence on a topic and understand each other’s perspective. She cultivated self-awareness in our partnership.”

I learned new techniques and self-management skills to help me be a better parent, worker, and friend. Coaching with Cara positively impacted my relationship with my family and friends. I feel I understand my locus of control now and how to self-advocate.”

We needed Cara more than we thought! We are new parents and started our session with Cara a couple of
weeks before delivering and continued after as well. Being first time parents is tough but having Cara to talk to brought us such joy, gratitude and comfort. She was very genuine, wise, great communicator, supportive and left us positive at the end of each session. She made us reflect on how great we’re doing that we aren’t alone. She also gave great perspective. Honestly, without Cara I think we would’ve went insane. We appreciated our sessions more than words can describe.”

Neither my wife nor I had any idea we would value these sessions so much. Incredibly powerful to have the opportunity to talk about not only the new baby in our life and how it impacts our relationship but also our family’s impact to our child’s relationship and our own.

Cara was an amazing coach. We were not expecting to love the sessions as much as we did. Cara was very attentive, genuine, wise and supportive. She was literally our light in the dark. It was tough the first couple of weeks being parents and speaking to Cara really helped.”
