Sarah Lacy, CEO/Chairman of Chairman Mom & Founder/Chairman of NeedHop
We are honored to share our conversation with Sarah Lacy, the dynamic voice of women & culture via her work as an investigative journalist; author of “The Uterus is a Feature Not a Bug: the Working Woman’s Guide to Overthrowing the Patriarchy”; Chairman & CEO of Chairman Mom; & Founder/Chairman of her latest venture, NeedHop.
Sarah shared her thoughts on managing life in the unprecedented times that we are facing—as our world shifts to handle the pandemic, parents are working from home (WFH), homeschooling and trying to keep it all going while STAYING IN PLACE.
“Home schooling is fun, a crazy novelty to navigate, gives me more time with them which as a divorced mom is a MAJOR PLUS. It is also a *full time job.* I had to wake up at 6 am and do two hours of work before “school started.” It’s almost noon and I’ve still only done… two hours of work. This is completely unsustainable for working parents. I’ll either go bankrupt or not sleep catching up on work every night and get sick. Even the lucky people whose jobs aren’t inherently put at risk during this time are risking them to school their children. And I am splitting it 50/50 with their dad.”
WE ARE HONORED TO SUPPORT CHAIRMAN MOM WITH THIS EPISODE OF MINDFULNESS AT WORK.
